Ubuntu “Antelabbit” 9.04?

Hey guys,

Now unless you’ve been disconnected over the last few days you’ll have noticed that Ubuntu 9.04,  codename “Jaunty Jackalope” came and showed us its antlers out of its rabbit hole and I have to say I’m impressed, just like with my impressions off 8.10 it’s a well put together distro. I’ve only had it on a virtual environment as I have coursework deadlines for the next 4 weeks and can’t risk loosing my currently stable Crunchbang 8.10.02 system too try it out.

A particularly interesting development is the new Netbook edition, I tried a few distro’s before settling on cruncheee however i always found (even in cruncheee) that some windows would be too small. Ubuntu is another distro now promising that they have resolved this issue, we shall see! Keeping on the Ubuntu track, I had a comment asking for some pictures of the ubuntu phone buddy with a phone on it? Now this posed a conundrum, I like alot of people these days own a phone with a pretty good camera on it. So whats wrong with this? well I have never therefore bothered to buy a camera. Luckily the girlfriend lent me her phone to take some pictures!

I apologise for the fact that I haven’t rotated them, I didn’t notice untill after i’d uploaded them and honestly I think they’re good enough.

Finally, i’ve jumped on the libre.fm bandwagon. I never really used last.fm, I’m more of a radio personal personally. I just want the noise most of the time. I’m still waiting on my email verification which may or may not unlock functionality. It’s early stages for it as yet but I wish it all the best but I think it’s got a long way to go yet.

I just signed up to Libre.fm after reading this. I’m not too sure what it’s intention is – streaming? In which case it just appears to use Audioscrobbler / Last.fm anyway – or for music taste sharing – in which case you mayaswell use Last.fm anyway…

    Hmm.
